| Released on November 17, 2007, 'Conscience Cash' is a response to the 2007 Heiligendemm G8 Summit in Germany, where G8 leaders failed to keep their 2005 pledge of $25 billion in additional aid to Africa by 2010.
The project juxtaposes American and Canadian currencies, with the cost of feeding an African family of six for one, two and four months; illustrating our vast economic differences and the enormous potential that $5, $10 and $20 has to affect positive change upon our planet. The ongoing series aims to stimulate the consumer conscience, by re-introducing an indefinite quantity of humanitarian conscious denominations into circulation. |
