| ARTIST CREATES SEQUEL TO ICONIC WORK OF ART March 22, 2009: Conceptual artist Brian Rushton Phillips, has released a sequel to Damien Hirst's iconic 'The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living', 1991. Enttitled 'The Conceptual Impossibility of Faith in the Mind of Someone Dying', the project examines the processes of death and faith; the ironies, falsehoods and desires that we mobilize to negotiate our own alienation and mortality, and the fundamental questions that we ask concerning the meaning of human life and the fragility of biological existence. |
